Hawkfish 2020 Targeted GOTV Campaign

We teamed up with Hawkfish to create a high-volume, high-speed, high-quality GOTV campaign in 10 key battleground cities for the
2020 General Election.

Wondros created a series of micro campaigns under the “Vote To Live” 501c3 campaign created by The Collective Education Fund. Our goal was to engage an otherwise disengaged demographic of eligible voters in Black and Brown communities. To do this, we crafted visuals and messaging that were inspirational, aspirational, informative, and created a sense of urgency.

The Wondros-powered micro campaigns had a deeply meaningful impact during an unprecedented election year where every vote mattered. These campaigns took a two-pronged approach to engage Black voters this election: first through innovative and distributed voter registration initiatives and then through an extensive voter education effort. The primary goal of
the “Vote To Live” campaign was to register 250,000 voters ahead of the November 2020 elections. The campaign ultimately expanded to simultaneously engage the LatinX communities in Florida through bilingual messaging.

In the key battleground of Georgia, Wondros creative performed 64% better than average in-house creative. By coupling voter registration and voter education activities, the campaign aimed to inform Black and Brown communities of the importance of their vote, how to protect and cast their ballot under changing legal and political circumstances, and how voting fits into a broader political and civic engagement strategy to build power for our communities. We believed that as a result, these voters will be better prepared to register to vote, cast their ballots to maximize their vote and remain, engaged beyond the election in November.
